It's all about priorities.
Here is David Shrigley to tell you that if there's serious art to be made then there isn't really much time for socialising. You get in that studio and you make art and you don't talk to anyone, make plans or communicate with anyone until that art is made. Shrigley's even produced this pretty brilliant iron patch in the shape of a warning sign saying 'Make Art Not Friends' so no time is eaten into the actual art making with having to tell people you can't be friends because of the art making. We are, of course, well aware that David Shrigley is a slightly sarcastic, cynical artist who may just have a tongue firmly in cheek with this patch to promote a sardonic chuckle in like minded creative types. However you decide to take the message of the patch, it's a cool accessory and that's what counts in the long run.
Iron on patch measuring 5.5 cm x 5.5 cm.
