Huddersfield was a much different place in 1974 than in its Industrial heyday.

Photographer Chris Killip took his style of social documentary to the streets of Huddersfield to capture the sad decline of the town and its surroundings. A fascinating visual record of how northern towns were affected by the closure of the mills and lack of industry.
