Chris Killip - Isle of Man

TT Races 1971

Although mostly affiliated with the north east of England, celebrated photographer Chris Killip was born and grew up in the Isle of Man. The TT Races have been a part of the culture on the island since the 1900s so it was inevitable Killip would turn his camera to the event in 1971 capturing the bikes, atmosphere and specifically the riders who gathered to take part in the dangerous competition. A beautifully photographed piece of social history, this book features some of the photographs Killip produced.
