  • A snapshot of 6 incredible photos.

Chris Killip (1946-2020) was an important social documentarian using his photography skills to capture the communities and cultures he immersed himself in to provide some of the most hard hitting yet human moments in the 1970's and 80s. With strong links to the north east, Killip's photographs highlight a particular moment in the socio-economic times of this period and these extraordinary images can be currently seen at the Killip exhibition at Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art. To commemorate the hugely popular exhibition, Baltic Shop has produced 6 postcards from images from the show which are available to purchase here as a set featuring some of Killip's recognisable themes including punks, miners, ship building, the seaside and sea coal.

The postcards are A6 and landscape.

Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art presents a full career retrospective by one of the UK's most important and influential post-war documentary photographers, Chris Killip (1946 - 2020). Chris Killip, retrospective is open from 1st April 2023 - 3 September 2023.
