Art in the Age of Black Power
This publication focuses on black artists and their output from 1963-1983 through this radically changing social and political time in the USA. The book includes interesting and thought provoking essays by its editors along with re assessing work from forgotten black artists both male and female, and was produced to coincide with the major exhibition of the same name at the Tate Modern in July 2017.
Starless Midnight is a group exhibition showing at BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art in Gateshead to commemorate the fifty years since Martin Luther King was awarded an honorary degree at Newcastle University and will be showing from 20th October 2017 to 21st January 2018.
