These wonderful little cross stitch baubles feature three of the most recognisable landmarks of the mighty Hadrian's Wall both past and present (sadly..) Starting with the majesty of the Arbeia Gate, the recreated Roman Fort gate is found in South Shields and has been open as a museum dedicated to the Roman history of the North East since 1986. At the end of Hadrian's Wall is the impressive sculpture Sentius Tectonicus, representing a Roman Centurion Soldier who is believed to have lived at the eastern end of Hadrian's Wall and now standing proudly as an eight and a half foot Corten Steel monument by Joh O'Rourke. And, finally, the much missed Sycamore Gap, once a beacon of natural beauty in the dip near the Sil in Northumberland, this is a lovely way to keep a memory of the beloved tree as a special festive wall hanging.
