Fallen Neverland, 2012 - is a Limited edition digital print by contemporary artist Graham Dolphin
Graham Dolphin is a contemporary British artist who's work often exhibits a fascination with iconic stars, the shrines and mythologies built around their deaths and the places and objects association with them.
Fallen Neverland is a digitally constructed collage from photographs of Neverland Ranch California, the former home of American singer Michael Jackson (1958-2009). Named after the Peter Pan story by J. M Barrie, Neverland was Jackson's attempt to create his version of this mythical location in which children do not age and is inhabited by the fairies of Pixie Hollow, mermaids and pirates. Fallen Neverland depicts the entrance to the funfair, it's now broken lights and impending storm clouds echoing darker times in which long held certainties of icons, capitalism and myths have fallen.
