Stretching out over 73 miles, the river Tyne almost defines the identity of the north east, specifically along the area splitting Gateshead and Newcastle. Once predominantly used to support the wheels of industry, the Quayside is now a must visit area with bars, restaurants, music and art (Hi, there). Local artist Ben Holland pays homage to the Tyne by using one of its most famous landmarks - the Millennium Bridge - and plays with its shape to create a heart over the river.
