There is something quintessentially British about visiting the seaside. And, without foreign holidays being the norm, the seaside was a holiday destination for lot's of Brits during the late 1970's. Photographer Chris Killip was there to capture moments of a specific time in Britain's social history bringing a warmth and intimacy from his subjects while celebrating the British quirky sensibility. A must little book for anyone who visited the coast during this time whatever age they are now!
