This new exhibition being held at INNSiDE Newcastle is primarily based on two of Turrell's main influences - music and football.
"Off the Record, On the Pitch" is a dynamic immersive space where the worlds of music and football collide through the lens of collage. The works bring together a vibrant mix of large-scale works, combining vintage football imagery, punk aesthetics, bold typography and layered textures that reference everything from match-day fanzines to classic album covers.
Football's rich visual history is reimagined through a remix of archival photos, ticket stubs and old-school kit graphics. The works will reflect tribalism, passion and DIY spirit of the terraces with references to everything from 90's Serie A aesthetics to underground fanzines.
An A1 print, available unframed and framed. If you order unframed, the print will be posted to you. If you opt for the framed print, this can be collected from INNSiDE Hotel after 30th June 2025.
