Photographer John Kippin captures the Tyne during the 1980's where it was at its least inspiring. When the coal and ship building had almost disappeared and there was no regeneration in sight. Kippin travels along the Tyne from the Baltic (weirdly looking the same but also vastly different) to the Staithes on the Gateshead side to the warehouses on the Newcastle side. An important and fascinating photographic document of a specific time in north east history.
