Oh we do love to be beside the Quayside!
Just one of the many things that makes Newcastle Upon Tyne so amazing is, when the summer comes to the Toon, the seaside comes to the Quayside! Along the iconic Quayside walk, a beach is created with deck chairs, tempting food, drink and buckets and spades. There are even palm trees! For no other reason than to let locals and visitors hang out by the River Tyne and feel the sand between their toes.
