My World Publishing is based in Houghton-Le-Spring in the city of Sunderland headed by local business guru Andrea Murphy. The company produces quality graphically designed cards featuring science, food and literature to name but three! With a focus on regional landmarks and local places of interest, My World create fresh and colourful north east images showing you can celebrate the local surroundings in contemporary design led images. BALTIC Shop has always enjoyed a visit from Andrea and her team, leading to coffees, chat and some sometimes crazy ideas. One conversation gave the seed of an idea about baubles and Bowie and, thus, the Aladdin Sane David Bowie bauble was born and the rest is bauble history! With three more Bowie designs following, it’s exciting to know that such a cultural Bowie bauble phenomenon was created collaboratively here in the Gateshead even when their work is displayed all over the world.
