Courage Calls to Courage Everywhere

To mark the 100 years since women got the vote, Gillian Wearing was commissioned to create a sculpture of Millicent Fawcett, a leading Suffragette and Feminist icon. To correspond with the sculpture now visible in Parliament Square in London, Wearing has worked with Plinth to produce this collectible handkerchief containing 50 embroidered signatures of prominent Suffragette supporters from history to the present day including Wearing herself. Beautifully produced in a presentation box, this is a chance to own a part of a political and cultural movement still prevalent today in the work of the Fawcett Society of which a portion of money made from sales of the handkerchief is donated to.
