Hew Locke The Procession Poster

To coincide with the impressive Hew Locke installation on Level 4, Baltic has produced this fantastic exhibition poster celebrating The Procession.

Focusing on the characters at the front of the Procession, this poster captures the movement, energy and colour Locke's exhibition evokes. The image makes a great momento of a truly eye catching visual experience originally commissioned by Tate. The Procession invites visitors to ‘reflect on the cycles of history, and the ebb and flow of cultures, people and finance and power.’ In the installation Locke says he ‘makes links with the historical after-effects of the sugar business, and revisits his artistic journey so far, including for example work with statues, share certificates, cardboard, rising sea levels, Carnival and the military.'
